This year Lacrosse Nation are working with Timperley Lacrosse Club to bring you the first Lacrosse Nation camp in the city hosting the 2010 world championships. With both men's and women's camps running from August 22 - 24, this camp is for intermediate to advanced lacrosse players aged over 18. The £90 price includes a reversible jersey, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and 13+ hours of coaching. This camp is designed to help players improve immediately as well as to develop season long training habits to continue improving throughout the season.
The schedule for the camp is as follows:
Friday August 22, 18:00-21:00
Opening session covering proper warm-up and cool down techniques, basic ball handling work combined with basic drills that teams and individuals can use throughout the season to keep improving.
Saturday August 23, 10:00-16:00
Second session starting with full team warm-up, including stretching, ball drills and individual player skills specific to each position. We take a short lunch break where players are able to ask questions of the coaches, covering any topics especially important to the camp attendees. The afternoon session will take players from individual skills to multi player drills building on team offence, team defence and transitional play.
Sunday August 24, 10:00-16:00
The third session will start with the morning being dedicated to advance situational play. We cover game situations and strategies encountered in the highest levels of Lacrosse. We will again take a lunch break where the coaches answer questions about the exercises and drills of the day. The afternoon is game time where we put into practice all the things we have learned throughout the camp. Coaches will be available after the game for analysis of players performance and explanations on how players can keep improving throughout the season using the drills from the camp.
