Mens Coaches for 2009 summer camps

Molly McCourt

Molly is an University of Maryland graduate with several awards including the NCAA Sportsmanship award and the Presidents Cup Award. After a successful university playing career, Molly turned to coaching. She is currently the head coach of the German Champion Munich team and was an assistant with the German National Lacrosse. Molly is currently preparing the German U19 team for the world cup next year in Hannover, Germany.

Chris Kohler

Chris Kohler is the goalie coach for both the men's and women's Orange Wave teams. With 12 seasons of playing experience as a goalie, Chris brings extensive knowledge of the position to the Orange Wave program. After excelling at the high school level in the US, he went on to play club lacrosse at Xavier University, where he was a four year starter. Chris is currently in his third season playing for the Amsterdam Lions and was a member of the first Orange Wave team in 2009. Off the field, Chris devotes his time to being an ambassador to the game by convincing the public that not all goalies are mentally insane.

MacGregor Stockdale

Returns to the coaching staff from the EC 08 campaign after gaining experience from co-founding and coaching the first private team in the Netherlands: the Orange Wave. Currently the Head Coach for the Amsterdam Lions, the reigning National Champions. As a player in the Netherlands, he earned 1st team All-DNLL in 2008 and was awarded league MVP for the 2009 season. Before the Netherlands, Stockdale played defense for Brown University in Rhode Island, USA. Stockdale is originally from Washington DC, USA where he attended the Sidwell Friends School. He currently works as a Derivative Trader for ABN Amro Bank in Amsterdam,Netherlands.

Travis Taylor

Travis started with the Dutch National Team in 2008 for the European Championships and is now in his second year as head coach of the Dutch National Team. Travis is currently preparing for the world championships in Manchester 2010.

Over the past four years, Travis has coached both the men’s and women’s teams at the University of Bristol and the Welsh women’s national team during their 2009 World Cup.

In May 2009, Travis along with Mac Stockdale started the Orange Wave program to help bring additional coaching and training to the top players in the Netherlands.

In September 2009, Travis also took on the role of president of the NLB (Nederlandse Lacrosse Bond) and looks forward to helping continue the growth of Lacrosse.
